Emociones - 3 CDs

The voyage begins with the incomparable duo Abdullah Ibrahim and Johnny Dhyany, followed by our first recordings of Ladysmith Black Mombazo and Johnny Clegg.

Youssou N’Dour has made a special recording for Network that is as divine as it is unforgettable. There is acoustic Ethiopian soul music with Gigi, Abyssinia Infinite and Bill Laswell. We hear the gentle voice of Sambista Paulinho Da Viola and the smokey Tango voice of Adriana Varela accompanied by the legendary Sexteto Mayor.

From the Caribbean we have Batata Y Su Rumba Palenquera, Izaline Calister and Cuba ’s Septeto Nacional. Various Gypsy Queens sing their profoundly moving ballads, and there are Balkan Blues from Greece , Romania , Serbia and Hungary . The legendary Djivan Gasparyan and Alim Qasimov bring us duduk music and incredible vocals.

EMOCIONES ends with previously unpublished recordings by Abaji from Lebanon , Parissa and Dastan from Iran and the sensational SambaSunda from Indonesia.
